Synopsis of The Coin Collector:
When a coin convention comes to Mystic, Massachusetts, the town has another murder on its hands.
Returning from a month-long paternity leave, Detective Nathan Perry plunges into an investigation of the mysterious death of coin collector Chuck Blanton after determining he was killed over a rare coin.
His task becomes more complicated when a nationally known journalist, Robin Fisher, wants the same answers as him. As the leads and suspects mount, and finding no one that has actually seen the coin, Nathan is not sure whether she will be a help or a hindrance.
Time begins running short, but Nathan is determined to entangle the mystery surrounding the rare coin in order to bring justice to the coin collector’s killer.

Carol Preflatish knew at an early age that she loved to write. In high school and college, her favorite classes were composition and creative writing. But it wasn’t until later in life that she decided to pursue it seriously. She published her first romantic suspense in 2009, and followed that up with six more. In 2019, Carol decided to switch to writing mysteries, with the first book in her new series, “Homecoming to Murder,” releasing in March, 2020. She’s a member of the national Sisters in Crime writers’ organization and active in the Louisville, Kentucky Sisters in Crime chapter. Carol resides in southern Indiana.

Synopsis of Homecoming to Murder:
Military veteran Nathan Perry moves back to his hometown of Mystic, Massachusetts when he is hired as their new police detective. Reacquainting himself with a few old friends, he finds that his high school sweetheart, Dana Tyler, is now the lead reporter for the local newspaper.
Before his new job is made permanent, he must find who is breaking into homes on Mano Island, an affluent community in Mystic, including the murderer of one of the homeowners.
